Some relevant lines from my osteology textbook published in 2005, warning of over-reliance on what they called the “computer revolution”:
I’m so thrilled to share that my strange little flash fiction about strange little girlhood is out today in Club Plum! Read “Eleanor Underwater” here: clubplumliteraryjournal.com/miranda-diaz/

Eleanor Underwater You can see so much from the bottom of the pool. That’s why Eleanor likes it there in the pressing blueness of the eye-burning, chlorinated water, six, nine, twelve feet of dista…

Please do not fall into the trap of thinking that a side project should be "useful". The only purpose of a side project is to be enjoyed. Perhaps you enjoy making it, or maybe you enjoy using it once it's finished, but always remember that the joy itself is the goal.
I was lucky enough to be at this panel (just barely, standing room only) and it was amazing!! Super thoughtful and inspiring from all three authors, but I didn’t expect Chuck Tingle’s philosophy to make me so emotional. Love is in fact real

I cannot promise my readers that everything I ever write will be amazing, but I CAN promise them that everything I ever write will be something I have actually written and not, for example, a soulless pile of robot puke.
I've been saving the first money I earned from writing to spend on something entirely unnecessary and joyful, and yesterday I used it to see Return of the King performed by the SF Symphony. It was absolutely wonderful and I feel like my 12 y/o self would've been very proud (maybe a little jealous).
Just finished reading Our Share of Night by Marina Enriquez (tr. Megan McDowell)- absolutely astonishing, breathtaking, incredible work. I don't usually post on here but I feel like shouting into the void about it because it was the kind of book that leaves you thrumming under the skin afterward.
