1. the whole "disappointing night" thing is pure cope. El-Sayed beat the establishment candidate despite being outspent 10:1, that's an earthquake 2. primary polls are just not great and everyone needs to spend the next week going really, really hard for Peggy Flanagan

My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

Victor Marx is a whackadoo piece of shit. And he shouldn’t be the nominee, but the Colorado GOP is even more crazypants than he is, so here we are. Please support @philweiser.bsky.social for Colorado Governor, because it’s good to have normal, sane, & thoughtful people in leadership!

Depicting Jewish people with horns is a centuries-old, dehumanizing, antisemitic trope. Democratic Gov nominee Phil Weiser is outspoken about his mother’s birth in a Nazi concentration camp, his family members killed in the Holocaust, and the threat posed by antisemitism today.

Okay, I am going to tell a little story. It's one I have saved for the last couple years, almost nobody knows about it. But it lives in my heart. I don't know how others will feel about it, maybe something, maybe nothing. It's about the Uncanny X-Men. 1/

There were not “lockdowns,” there were state & local stay at home orders. Masks helped once they were widely available. Yes, online school sucked. No, no one’s rights were violated. And a whole lotta people went feral & decided their feelings were more important than saving lives.

Every adult woman that I have been deeply familiar with has had a moment with a man when she knows that he would hit her if be could get away with it. Some even know what he looks like when he does it. You never forger what it looks and feel like. That Miller video has it all.

I’m astonished by the ability of my fellow humans to forget the events we all just lived through. Folks remember the masks and the remote school. The million US dead are rarely mentioned. Folks, we lived through a plague.

Every other day, 83-year-old Marilyn Tewa of the Hopi Tribe loads buckets into her pickup and drives 5 miles to haul water. “That’s what keeps us alive,” Tewa said. Four states stand in the way of a deal to give her community water.

Native American Tribes Came Together to Secure Their Rights to Colorado River Water. Four States Are Stalling the Deal.

Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming are resisting the deal because it would allow the Navajo and Hopi to lease water to cities downstream, likely the growing towns around Phoenix.

As of this week, hundreds of thousands of Haitians lost their legal status. Most have lost work permits as well. That's left many people unable to support themselves. Here is a verified link to a fundraiser supporting Haitians in Springfield. Please drop links to other fundraisers in the replies.
