Off to press! The Library Cosmic by Ben Berman Ghan for @wolsakandwynn.bsky.social. Whenever I can, I include some visual reference to the idea of a 'group' of some kind when designing a cover for a collection of stories. This one is no exception.
May the 4th be with you! Back in 1997, as a fledgling designer I was thrilled to redesign Star Wars Insider magazine (complete with recreating the 'Star Wars' logo in Macromedia Freehand). Creating a collage around the Lucasfilm provided Special Edition medallion felt like peak Photoshop!

File under: I never thought it would be an issue until I tried. Adobe Illustrator has no trouble exporting a PDF with layers intact, but importing the same PDF reduces everything to one layer. Affinity Publisher roundtrips the file just fine.
