Starfield is almost three years old now and in that time I have yet to see a single piece of fanart or meme or anything about the contents of the game itself. The extent to which they spent years on that game only for it to be met with a resounding cultural disinterest is fascinating

I say this utmost sincerity: There's no context where I'd want myself or anyone younger or older to be given a tool that just regurgitates praise and validation for them regardless of their own actions or entitlements. It's literally part of why Ch*tGPT is actively harming society

And of course, as comes customary with any genAI project, this shit stinks. Stuttering audio, controls that only sometimes respond, and 60FPS didn't even work for me. One might argue genAI coding could work with polish, but the contradiction is that nobody who cares about polish uses genAI.

Idk who needs to hear this but if you've ever seen your oomfs get into game dev and post their progress and said "man, that's so cool, I wish I could make a video game too" You can just do that Like actually all you need to do is start, it's only as difficult as you allow it to be
