Troy Jackson is sending out victory texts before the Democratic Party have officially announced him the winner, since the convention is still several days away. A lot can happen in 5 days. He needs to stop gloating.

Dr Nirav Shah and Shenna Bellows have withdrawn from the Maine Senate nominating contest, basically locking it in for Troy Jackson. Congratulations are in order for Susan Collins on getting another easy win. (I'm still voting for Jackson, because I am pessimistic, but still have hope in miracles).

Now that Bellows has dropped from the race and it is looking like Jackson has the lock on next week's nomination, I would like to express my disappointment and congratulate Susan Collins on her new term.

Unpopular take: It's popular now to say that Trump was in charge of the election he is calling fraudulent in 2020 while Obama/Biden were in charge in 16/24. The Constitution puts the job of selecting electors for presidential elections on the states. The states ran all three elections not the feds.

Someone please help me understand why it's so important whether McConnell is still in the land of the living. Seems to me, having him ouf of the picture is a good thing; one less vote. His seat is already being contested in Nov. I'd rather leave the GOP with one less vote for a few months.

I keep getting asked why I'm not running for office. Our oldest kid is into this and aspires to be a pro athlete. Our youngest is an aspiring engineer/farmer. Running for office is incredibly time and money intensive.
