New study by Dong et al. shows that #bubble-mediated #CO2 transfer favors invasion based on field evidence. They introduce an asymmetric #BulkFlux equation, suggesting that the global #ocean may absorb ~15% more #CO2 than previously estimated. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

New paper by @midwayxie.bsky.social with CCRC co-authors Hannah Dawson & @christinaocean.bsky.social: Waters subducting into the deep ocean near Antarctica can sequester CO2 for centuries. By analysing how long these waters stay in the euphotic zone we found that light is limiting CO2 fixation.
