This is absolutely extraordinary. It's hard to know where to start. The utter tone-deafness? The scorn towards local government? The high-handed dismissiveness towards people affected by racism and antisemitism? Badenoch is an X-brained crackpot.
This is *such* a revealing line about Kemi's world view and contempt for those who do the day to day work of keeping our society functioning
The Tory / Reform Uniparty will try to blame Labour for 14 yrs of Tory failure over prisons, creating yet another crisis for Labour to solve The Tories built just 500 additional places in 14 yrs - 36 per year - and Sunak had to free 10,000 prisoners early as a result. (In case they've 'forgotten')
2/4 Nature is not a luxury. Healthy ecosystems are the foundation of our food security, public health, economic resilience and national wellbeing. As climate and ecological crises deepen, protecting and restoring nature is essential to our collective future.
"[Byline] revealed that Cottrell entered corporate finance under a false Swiss identity, hired by the same City network that produced Reform UK’s own treasurer, Mehrtash A’zami. "Byline Times has since confirmed that this identity was stolen from a real person – Cottrell’s old school friend."

Now Tice is being investigated by the Parliamentary standards watchdog. Reform are rotten to the core. Let’s hope this presages their end.
Michael Gove moaning about Powell’s statement about education likely to “bring back stupid”. Good grief. Has he forgotten about his own proclamation about the nation having had enough of experts? If anything encouraged stupidity in recent times, it was that.
There’s “off the charts” and there’s France’s absolutely bonkers June & July 2026 temperatures (see black line below). Bad things are happening. Fast.
All true. Add to this their rampant self-interest and sense of entitlement. The leader of my newly Reformed council decided that the leader’s office was too small. So he spent our money on repurposing a meeting room, including adding frosted glass (so much for transparency) and a button to operate/1
Commentary on Reform centres on their racism. Not enough is made of their mean-spiritedness, contempt for their voters and general incompetence. Most parties have some shades of these but Reform seems to view them as basic entry qualifications (plus racism)
For a company, whose political arm seems solely to exist to criticise others, they seem remarkably poor at taking criticism themselves.
This has really pissed me off, if you're in the area and can afford it go and give the cafe owner some money to help fund the kids meals. And if he refuses buy yourself a nice coffee and tip him as much as you can. Fuck Reform taking food from kids in need. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

While fires rage in large parts of Europe incl UK, farmers face crop failure and livestock loss, every RefUK or Tory politician on the news must be challenged on their "let's do away with costly net zero nonsense" stance, side-by-side with live images of the cost of inaction. Expose the charlatans.
Dunwich Heath burning. What a great time for the Reform-led Suffolk County Council to undeclared the climate emergency.
Down at the Muckrakers Arms, mischievous Pecksniff: - explores why Burnham is writing his own political story instead of responding to everyone else's. - peers behind the headlines at the real cabinet intrigue. - finds plenty to amuse him in Clacton's extraordinary by-election. Enjoy!

The plot thickens... Now Farage's favourite convicted fraudster has written to the National Crime Agency posing as a "long-standing member" of top security think tank RUSI. RUSI's response? He isn't a member. You couldn't make it up - except apparently he can. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
George Cottrell falsely claimed think tank membership in banking complaint
The fraudster, who has donated to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, said he was a member of the Royal United Services Institute, which it denied

Fake passports. A money laundering conviction. A mystery casino fortune in Montenegro... There's yet more revelations about who Farage chooses to surround himself with. Let’s start with George Cottrell. A man Farage describes as "like a son," and his former chief of staff 👇

This feels like it got buried amid all of the mounting allegations around Reform and Farage's funding. Farage leases property that he owns, to his own company, at exactly £10,000/year. That's a penny under the "over £10,000" rental-income declaration threshold. What is he trying to hide?
