Real idea: As part of the effort to get DC and PR statehood, next Dem president should invent about State Weeks. Each of the 52 states gets its own celebration week every year. A random July week is Montana week. Tourism bonanzas. Televised lottery every year for week placement. We ain't above this.

Though very young, I remember the bicentennial because my mom bought me this Captain America comic while we shopped for 4th of July supplies. Cap traveled through time witnessing the battles that shaped America. 50 years later, I wish one of those stops had been now. We could use him. Happy 4th! 😊

It's interesting how everything people used to proudly call "public" when I was growing up (public parks, public libraries, public schools, public transportation, public television, etc) is suddenly "socialist" now that rich people are spinning it.

Once you kill a child, or your policies and actions lead to the death of children, whatever the case may be, it doesn't matter how many satellites you put into space, what anyone says you are or aren't, or how much wealth you amass. At the end of the day, you are a child killer.
