I'm terrible at rereading books because I have so many new ones to get to. But rereading good nonfiction after several years means you find information that feeds your expanded views. You see it with new eyes.
Notice how those few who publish actual scholarly work on fringe subjects are now not invited to #cryptid or #cryptozoology events to speak. It's ALWAYS popular media content creators that dominate. That tells you loads.

I'm not a fan of naming new species with exaggerated monster names like "Demogorgon..." for a blind cave fish. While it might get media attention, it's absurd and not even all that whimsical. I'm also sure no one cares what I think.
