It was a privilege the other night to have one of my older short films be included in this old vaudeville theater for the first of a monthly showcase of local filmmakers dating back to 1936.

I don’t stay on top of my writing blog as much as I should, but today I wtote something that I hope will inspire. miketrippiedi.blogspot.com/2026/01/writ...

The garden was nice, but sadly gave me few ideas of any substance.

Abraham Lincoln was the 1st president to be assassinated. He was also the 1st president to be embalmed. AND he was the 1st and only president to have a multi-state open casket traveling funeral. AND THEY ALL WENT WRONG! Read all about it in my historical fiction / political satire.

My first Surprise Lilly of the year.

Afraid of losing power I cut my writing short today due to the thunder storms and strong winds. It’s oddly soothing.

Well if you have 44 minutes and want to listen to me talk about my latest novel, among other things, feel free to have a listen. justincasewedie.com/2025/07/09/j...

This sweet little girl has been following me around from room to room all day. Big steps for this rescue cat that has been afraid of men ever since we found her barely alive in a ditch three years ago.

Four male ducks just outside my yard. Must be poker night.

Flawed heroes. Multiple villains. The infancy of science. History you never learned in school. And all true. Sort of. Attention Readers - the funeral train awaits.

One good thing every day Day 108: seeing this short story published today. It doesn’t matter to me that nobody gave my original post any love. I’m reposting it anyway! #OneGoodThing #shortstory #skywriters #fiction

This is Major Henry Rathbone. He is one of the supporting characters in my latest novel, “Abraham Lincoln’s Traveling Medicine Show.” Did you know he’s considered one of the most forgotten men in history?

I’m currently in the regrouping, marketing phase after finishing my third novel. So not quite back to the “writing regularly” mode. But best of luck to those that are. Your voice, and the stories you tell are important and needed.

A couple of minor characters in my novel are prostitutes. But the real whores in the story are the politicians. Kind of like real life.

I never thought I would love this collection of stories as much as I did. What a wonderful peek into the 1930’s. Despite their age, most of these stories felt extremely modern.

It's here. Paperback available on Amazon. I'm looking into other options as well. Available everywhere on ebook. I hope you'll consider giving this book a read. I'm very proud of it and confident you will enjoy it.

One of the things I love about being an indie writer is I can fly under the radar of the book banners. While the notoriety may add some readers, I'm more thrilled that my novels are available to all so the reader can form their own opinions. Maybe I'll open an eye or two. Or at least entertain.

With my third novel releasing next month, here is a sneak peek at the front and back cover.

Here's a sneak peek at the cover of my third novel, designed by my good friend, Joe Taylor. It's a Historical Fiction / Political Satire. I can't wait to share this with all who are interested. Soon.

Not sure how this happened, but I have found myself reading 4 books at the same time. All vastly different from each other.

My Goodreads review of @mnseeley.bsky.social novel, A Flicker of Shadows.

On this date 160 years ago, President Abraham Lincoln died in a boarding house across the street from Ford’s Theatre where he had been shot 9 hours earlier. And that’s just the beginning. Coming in May, my third novel, “Abraham Lincoln’s Traveling Medicine Show.”

One good thing every day Day 60: Is it a good thing if my book is substantially marked down on Amazon? Who can say? Also available at less morally suspect booksellers. And a few libraries! #OneGoodThing #OGTED
