We can't solve a housing crisis without building more housing. Today we broke ground on the Casanova Residence, which will soon be nearly 100 affordable and supportive homes with on-site services for New Yorkers. Every new home is a step toward a City that everyone can afford.

Wild that Google did a promo for AI mode during the Spurs game, asking about veteran leadership versus young players. When they clicked AI mode, it cut to the human announcers answering that very question.

One of the most annoying things about AI the fundamental lack of knowledge of how they work. I asked Claude to schedule a message to itself. It decided it couldn't because Claude Code is a separate product, and it couldn't possibly know how that works, despite lots of open tech docs on the web.

I haven't gotten a splinter in years, maybe decades, but I have gotten single beard hairs stuck in my fingers just like a splinter.

Who wants to tell Google the bad news?

Claude forgets it has memory all the time and I have to remind it. Gemini has no memory, but it will slip in the things I saved into it no matter the context, regardless if it makes sense.

I have spent hours with Claude Code and Gemini trying to solve a problem only to realize all I had to do was add a contact to my phone. The takeaway: add to my AI instructions, "I often overthink problems. DON'T FEED INTO THAT."
