You don't know what people are going through. They're fighting battles you can't even imagine. Like some people just found out they are actually supposed to be wearing a bra four sizes bigger than the size they've been wearing for 15-20 years. It's not bad but just kind of shocking you know

We really should stop calling it "age verification." Because that is not what it is. Call it "forced doxxing" instead. Most people think the concept of age verification and protecting kids online is common sense. So we must rebrand it to reveal its true purpose, which is something they will fear.

Been thinking a lot about how this mindset of trying to do as much as possible behind people's backs, without informing them, without consent, has become normalized in tech. They don't even expect to get caught anymore, the expectation is nobody will notice or care, every time.
