BBC accused of 'extraordinary' anti-Green bias after party say the Laura Kuenssberg Show scrapped a promised interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social on Sunday. Green sources say the show also refused to interview Polanski after he was elected as leader last month bylinetimes.com/2025/10/06/b...
just go an ig ad for a serum "clinically proven to reduce the appearance of expression lines" ...EXPRESSION LINES! god forbid my face hold any evidence of having ever smiled or laughed in my lifetime
Happy #NationalPoetryDay! I wrote a short poem about writing in celebration ✍🏼

Adam Raine, 16, died from suicide in April after months on ChatGPT discussing plans to end his life. His parents have filed the first known case against OpenAI for wrongful death. Overwhelming at times to work on this story, but here it is. My latest on AI chatbots: www.nytimes.com/2025/08/26/t...

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?
we really do need to figure out how this guy managed to create an environment where he can say "i wasted an amount of taxpayer dollars so large I can't even tell you how much it was" & it doesn't cause immediate national outrage
Trump on the Oval Office: "You see the way this is looking. I can't tell you how much that gold costs. A lot of money. This beautiful office needed it."
this! don't call me a "denialist", "pessimist" or anything negative if I have all the empirical evidence and receipts while the other side shows up with "potentials", "possibilities" & other buzzword. call me an expert, a scientist or a realist
Hm. Don't think I'm on board with calling AI skeptics/critics "denialists." Seems to obscure the fact that there is an ideological contestation at play, rather than, as with climate change, an empirical or even epistemological one.
Completely devoured the audiobook of @adelewalton.bsky.social's 'Logging Off: The Human Cost of our Digital World.' A personal yet thoroughly researched and accessible look at growing up with social media, big tech, gen-AI, workers rights, and more. Felt equally terrifying and galvanising 📚
I recently performed my poem about Ethan Hunt to a crowd while a pianist accompanied with a relaxed Mission Impossible theme and it was literally the best moment ever!!
3 years today since I lost my dad. I wrote this 6 months after and every word is still true. Trying to live good and do good, always with you in mind.

The employee asked the girl and her mother if they needed help shopping. That’s it. That’s all. The misinformation, the insinuations (because the facts are inconveniently benign) are EXACTLY what was done to lesbians in the 80s. This is the product of hate and fear, not reality.
Ended up writing a poem about it.

I think this mass produced trinket culture is for sure a recession marker. We are looking for any semblance of control so we buy ‘little treats’ because it’s all we can afford that will offer that agency.
my post office has had a small refurb, and where there used to be colouring books and stationery there is now a locked glass cabinet filled with vape pens and labubus and it made my heart a little sad
Performed my writing for the first time very recently at an Off the Chest open mic! Despite the trembling notebook, I am really so proud of this and can’t wait to do more and build my confidence🫰🏼🎤
Pleased to have voted today for @zackpolanski.bsky.social as Leader of @greenparty.org.uk – truly think he can make some real progress for the left in the UK, and hopefully open up collaboration with Corbyn, Sultana, and the new party forming 💚
Haven’t stopped thinking about the Skims ‘Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap’ and morning sheds on TikTok, and ‘high maintenance to be low maintenance,' and thus felt compelled to write something. millicentwrites.substack.com/p/the-mornin...

🚨 SUMMER OF ACTION FOR GAZA Israel is starving the Palestinian people in Gaza to death with its blockade. We must take emergency action to pressure our government to do all it can to end Israel's genocide. Take part in our Summer of action for Gaza in August and September. #StopArmingIsrael

The EHRC – the body which is meant to protect our human rights – is proposing guidance which would turn the Equality Act into a bathroom ban. If this becomes law, it would force trans people out of public life. And terrifyingly - this is all happening behind closed doors 🧵

I visited the Aesop Free Queer Library on my lunch and had such lovely conversations in the queue! They had so many exciting titles, it was a difficult task to choose my book, but excited to have walked away with a hardback of Ocean Vuong's The Emperor of Gladness 📚
With the unseasonably hot weather we’ve been experiencing (every year), it feels timely to kick my @hyphenonline.com books column off with five compelling reads on the climate crisis.

Had the most gorgeous evening at Bard Books celebrating four authors and their debut novels, hearing more about their processes and inspirations was so energising 📚 Congratulations Xenobe Purvis, Gabriel Flynn, Lisa Smith, and Gurnaik Johal!
