HORTIKRUSS THE VAMPIRE WARLORD was once a young noble from a long-forgotten empire, until the Grand Lamia herself transformed him into a scourge upon the living. His bleak legions have conquered a hundred kingdoms, leaving nothing in their wake but ruinous ash-lands haunted by ghouls and shades.
For countless millennia, before the ascendance of humanity, THE GREAT BEAST SHOGGULA was worshipped by primordial empires such as Eskragor and the Serpent Hegemony. Massive bleak temples were built in Shoggula’s honor and the frog-like god grew fat on sacrifices and faith.
No deity is more feared than ARARARARAR, God of FIRE and EVIL, yet even the most loathsome gods have followers. These followers conducted a ritual that summoned a spark of their dread god's endlessly burning essence into the mortal plane, allowing him to sire a child--ARESTE, DAUGHTER OF FLAME.
THE FACE TAKER gained his title from the leathery cloak of moaning human faces draped across his shoulders. His flesh-melting touch allows him to rip the faces from his victims’ skulls and add them to his grisly cloak. The Face Taker’s origins are uncertain;
