it's a gorgeous & comfy morning at @saturdaymarket.bsky.social! @mimblex.bsky.social is debuting some adorable (articulated!) mice plushies, come play with them before someone takes them home 🧀 (or like, BE the someone who takes them home?!)

Now is a really great time to subscribe to my Patreon 'cause for $5 a month I'll be posting about my new comic once a week. I'm trying to manage $300 a month for meds and groceries. patreon.com/treelet
broke my chopstick i use for poking into the corners of sewn things to turn them right side out…. poked too hard 😔
no saturday market this week! the car is sick she is in the shop 😔
had a LOT of fun with improv piecing for little bags this afternoon
chronic pain in my neck has totally killed my ability to draw anywhere away from my desk or drafting table (since i need a vertical easel, i can’t draw on a flat surface or even hold up a clipboard w/o a lot of pain) so i’m FINALLY building an on-the-go sketch easel à la james gurney’s tutorials!!
Lightweight Sketch Easel
Several of you asked about how to build the lightweight sketch easel that I've been using lately. One blog reader, who is an artist and ...

I made that wobbly little star block into a tiny pouch 😊 reclaimed linen fabrics, patchwork piecing on both sides with stripey lined interior. it will be available at the eugene saturday market tomorrow, booth 174!
rainbow trout pins!!! oh my gosh i’m so in love with these 😭 they’ll be at next eugene saturday market along with my salmons!!
little school of salmon on my desk making me vry happy 🥺 id like to work on designs for rainbow trout and neon tetras next!
for a little cool-down play challenge i tried making a teeny sawtooth star quilt block but completely freeform to see how wobbly i could get it - no rotary cutter (just scissors), no ruler or measuring, no ironing until i finished. it came out so cute i love it so much!! and just took like 10 mins
hand painting the details for this batch of salmon pins and i think they look super cute. ;A; the white tummies..
long-awaited salmon pins are FINALLY RETURNING but just this tiny batch for next saturday market.. 🙇
got eye hooks for hanging and finished up three more little wall quilts! they all feature a mini hand-carved linocut print and hand quilting, hung on oregon coast driftwood. i’ll have them all at eugene saturday market tomorrow 💃
more sashiko samples! I LOVE this stitching technique now.. everything from hand-scoring a grid with bone folder and ruler, the way you hold the cloth without an embroidery hoop, how you hold the xtra long needle and pleat the fabric over it, all feels soo good and is exactly how i like to sew
a while ago i got myself some sashiko materials as an art treat and i just finished my first little sample! I’m going to keep sewing little 4x4” samples like this because i want to get rly efficient & even with my stitches.. thinking i’ll make them into tiny little zip pouches
LOVVEE this application of one of my fish pins, sold at saturday market yesterday!! (the fish bag is from @_madmakes on insta!)
wild iris that came up in the yard that i’m soooo excited about because i think it’s a douglas iris (Iris douglasiana), a native i wanted to plant in the yard anyway!! the icy lavender color is awesome
need to add an eye hook (i am out of eye hooks) but i love how this little wall quilt came out! oregon coast driftwood, linocut print on fabric, hand quilting

deconstructing a thrifted linen shirt for fabric and realizing the buttons are made from real mother of pearl seashell feels like such a score
tiny wall quilt wip.. gonna give it little loopies on top and hang it from some beach driftwood 😌
speaking of storefronts tho, soon i’ll be reopening my online shop, just for stickers and linocut fabric patches! occasional seasonal drops for larger things, but I’m figuring out a way to keep a mini shop open full time while i manage weekly market life
If you run a store and you approach me asking to do wholesale with you I better not find stuff for sale with genAI garbage on it when I go to visit your storefront 😊 JUST SAYINNN!
HELLO @lyebun.bsky.social and I are at the eugene saturday market today and we have FREE SEEDS!! booth 174! 🌱
