Great... was about to install Linux next to my Windows install. Got an error that RST is enabled. Looking at how to disable that warns me that it can cause data loss -> me want to make backup: windows doesn't allow me to just backup the C drive... Aaaaaaaaaa. Help appreciated #linux
Mmmh #Protoflux Spaghetti. This is the flux that enables Systems to be installed into the correct parent system. If a specific Parent is defined then it will block installing if that System was not found. (Updating is not yet supported...) #Resonite (I am gonna clean this up after I've eaten)
People keep saying #resonite is unoptemized. This are 35632 dynamic bone chains with 3 or 4 bones each. This is running at 6 fps (or about 16 when looking away). They also all have colliders enabled and a spatial variable sampler. The mesh is also fairly high poly. (RTX 3070, i7-10700, 32GB RAM)
Made a #moduprint module that let's other systems like my systems manager discover the nearest moduprint manager to themselves. This uses Spatial variables, so no slot searching needed. This allows those external systems to call functions on the moduprint. #resonite
My Manager is now able to display "Elements" of a system. They are predefined slots that hold Assets, #ProtoFlux , templates, reparentables, registries and more. Especially usefull for the flux slot, becouse you can just grab the slot and drop it into a moduprint to unpack it. #Resonite #gamedev
My systems Manager in #Resonite now supports styling of the font. You can now replace the font to any that is more readable to you. #accessibility #vr #gamedev

Made a Browser for https://lucide.dev/ Icons in #Resonite . This uses the Lucide Icons font. You can than drag and drop the Character into any Text field or click the button to copy to clipboard. The text renderer needs to have the font setup of course for this to work. Is in my public under Misc.
Wowee! What a first experience once again in @resonite.com ! I joined a random world, and immediately made friends! Such a bunch of amazing beans who even helped me get my ViVali setup into Resonite! I asked if we could take a picture together, and they happily helped me make one! Thanks everyone!

I just opened a can of worms that had been locked in the depths of my memory's, that I told myself I should never open again. I think I might regret remembering what it was like back *then*. I always knew I was in a bad place then. I did NOT realize before though how bad it was...
I forgor my Bluetooth headphones at home :( Thankfully I still have my old wired headphones, that were included with my old phone in my backpack. Problem: not even #Fairphone devices have a headphone jack anymore. Solution: Steal the USB C to headphone cable from my car.
I now know why this was happening. Can you guess why? ✨Artificial Intelligence✨ If I disable all VS-Code AI features, then this issue goes away.

If I have to type out the CSS for everything like menus manually, that takes ages... Typing @nav and having vs code paste CSS boilerplate for nav is essential for our companies workflow. #microslop

When people ask why I decided to trust Resonite and invest so much time into it, THIS is why. Resonite isn't perfect yet. But it's designed so well that the developers can just whip something like together in a few hours, and it is automatically compatible with every other system in the game.

I realy dislike AI search engines. With traditional index based ones, you'd more or less know, what results are sponsored, and which won the relevance ranking. But with AI search... Who knows what influences have been set on the AI to serve "optimized" results.
I've made some major progress on My in-world wiki viewer in #Resonite. I now call a API, that renders the wiki page to a JPG and then I parse out all the links and display those next to the image.
I love how I can't login on my Windows 10 computer because #Telekom is doing bad peering again and #Microsoft doesn't want to pay Telekom the ransom fee for them not breaking the connection to the users. https://netzbremse.de/ (why it loads for ages if it can't phone home is also dumb...)
Finaly got around to making a good system for getting a readable text color for basically any background color. It also doesn't do the boring thing of: luminance > .5 = change color. So this also tints the text if it has enough contrast to still be readable. Video here: mstdn.plus/@Mint_Shock/...
