If you make something— ANYTHING— you are NOT a failed artist. Conjuring something out of various, myriad ingredients is a sort of alchemy & a powerful magic whether it's a song, a drawing, a meal, etc. Not everyone can do it. Sharing it w the world is an act of defiance & bravery Always, be proud

If i'm being honest, this year's artfight has been quite underwhelming for me. Or at least compared to last year. Could be just my exhaustion from work leading to the dissapointment in myself for not being able to draw as much I hoped...
hating your art is not a virtue, it's a sign of burn out or mental illness. the same way your muscles ache if you exercise too much or your stomach hurts if you're starving. learn to identify it as a sign you're pushing too hard or expecting too much of yourself somehow and check in with yourself.
