Great article! Some basic facts-Ceuta is not part of mainland Spain. Nor is it possible to cross from Ceuta (not in Schengen zone)to mainland Spain & into the Schengen Area, the EU’s free-movement zone, without crossing a checkpoint. Illegal immigrants cannot travel Ceuta to mainland Spain at all.
