I mean, they aren't wrong. Someone said that the rich white guys were the canaries in the coal mine and I just stared in *American citizens and legal residents deported without due process*

We already have over 230 million people," [Foreign Minister] Tuggar said. "In the words of the famous U.S. rap group Public Enemy — you'll remember a line from Flavor Flav: 'Flavor Flav has problems of his own. I can't do nothing for you, man.'" lol. lmao www.npr.org/2025/07/11/n...

Nigeria says it won't accept deportees from U.S.: 'We have enough problems of our own'

Nigeria's government is pushing back against U.S. efforts to send the country migrants and foreign prisoners, with Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar quoting Public Enemy to drive home his point.

The first planned migration of an entire country due to climate change is happening! Tuvalu, a Pacific island nation, is at risk of being submerged under rising sea level, so it has signed an agreement with Australia to allow 280 Tuvaluans to settle in Australia as permanent residents each year.

The First Planned Migration of an Entire Country Is Underway

The Pacific island nation of Tuvalu could be submerged in 25 years due to rising sea levels, so a plan is being implemented to relocate its population to Australia.

There is literally NOTHING in the U.S. economy that is as good or better than it was eight months ago. NOT ONE THING! Everything is worse, most especially inflation.

You should listen to the international newsrooms trying to figure out their coverage - “if he bombs Iran.. but he if he doesn’t.. but what if he does before we have lunch. Can we have lunch?” I speak 5 languages, so I can confirm - everyone is having same issues.

felt compelled to look up ICE authority for warrantless arrests if I'm reading this correctly, the circumstances under which ICE can arrest a citizen are basically limited to 'I literally saw you commit a felony and you're about to escape and no one's gonna be able to get a warrant' this aint that

screenshot of 8 USC 1357: Powers of immigration officers and employees, taken from https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=(title:8%20section:1357%20edition:prelim)

pieces of the text are highlighted in blue, showing how arrest power is largely constrained to "aliens," except for the following subsections

(4) to make arrests for felonies which have been committed and which are cognizable under any law of the United States regulating the admission, exclusion, expulsion, or removal of aliens, if he has reason to believe that the person so arrested is guilty of such felony and if there is likelihood of the person escaping before a warrant can be obtained for his arrest, but the person arrested shall be taken without unnecessary delay before the nearest available officer empowered to commit persons charged with offenses against the laws of the United States; and

(5) to make arrests-

(A) for any offense against the United States, if the offense is committed in the officer's or employee's presence, or

(B) for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States, if the officer or employee has reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such a felony,

if the officer or employee is performing duties relating to the enforcement of the immigration laws at the time of the arrest and if there is a likelihood of the person escaping before a warrant can be obtained for his arrest.

what is it called when people who aren't cops and don't have a warrant drag you away, because I don't think "arrest" is the word

"It's bullshit," Gov. Hochul says of the arrest of NYC Comptroller Brad Lander by ICE. She says she will call him when he's out of detention. "But what about all the people who don't have that high profile position?"

Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife. While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE. This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.
