I have a work in progress problem. The pathological accumulation of projects without ever finishing them. Also the habit of picking subjects that are way too complex to complete in a reasonable amount of time. I need to get this sorted out somehow.

Animated concept art of my scifi novel, of a scene I #amwriting today. The draft is far way from being completed, but exercises like this help me understand the world I'm making up. Eventually I want to grow this into a "The Art of" book. More on my Patreon.

Another not-so-old unfinished WIP, just from last year: a chunk of a Miranda-class from Star Trek, intended for an EVA render on the hull. It ended up not working out compositionally like my mockups, so I shelved it. Probably won't ever model the rest to this level, but from this I know I could.

A 3D render of a rectangular chunk of the top-rear hull of the Miranda-class starship from Star Trek, originally from The Wrath of Khan. Only some areas are fully modeled and detailed, with other parts just trailing off into undetailed flat gray. There are also no textures, just solid colors, but the quality looks nice and high and accurate, if I may say so myself.Another angle of the same model, this time from the rear looking forwards over the surface. The edges of the portion just cut off 100% abruptly, instead of there being a rear side.

Exclusive to my Patrons, I share a bit of animated concept art of a moment from my original scifi novel, from a scene that I #amwriting today. The draft is a long way from being completed, but exercises like this help me understand the world I'm making up. www.patreon.com/posts/novel-...
