What a bloody flipping tease for what the park could be. This is such an awesome little thing, but makes me want to pull my hair out because we just get threatened with Avatar and more lukewarm Pixar and Marvel experiences instead. Photos via The Dis
This looks awesome. Love the way it wraps around the west side of Disneyland and transitions into a Western area that connects into Frontierland.
I wonder if it was a scaled-down version of this larger concept from 1995, which has the pier and Hollywood in the same place but ends up being a mini DCA. www.disneydocs.net/blue-sky-dis...
Just started Widow's Bay: so far, what if a Stephen King version of the murals in Pawnee City Hall happened on Amity Island with a touch of Night Vale
Wonders of Life Pavilion, Future World, Epcot Center In this picture you can see the Wonder Cycles where you could cycle through the Rose Bowl and Disneyland! In the background you see a sign of Coachโs Corner where you could try your hand at becoming a professional athlete!
Across the water, the order of the White City begins to dissolve. Palm trees close overhead. A reflection pool leads the eye forward. Ahead, the Pharos Lighthouse appears. Welcome to Port Alexandria. #RealmsOfDiscovery #ArmchairImagineering
It contributes so much to your actual experience of the ride without you realizing it. Compelling yet disarming, providing a sense of mystery while also lulling you into a state for the coaster to have a maximum impact on you. Totally kneecapped by those interactive games they installed.
The star tunnel works so well because of the calming, down tempo synth BGM and the sound absorbing panels. Itโs rare to find a queue space as calming as this. I hope this is preserved.

EPCOT has trash cans of the future, but Philadelphia has trash cans of the future that say "FUCK ICE"
Really on the fence about this... the FULL version of Tomorrow's Child, We've Just Begun to Dream, and/or El Rio del Tiempo would make me jump through the hoops to snag this. The packaging is lovely, but the thought of that second disc mostly being full of depressing movie junk makes me sad.

I think this is how I learn it's been at least two years since I've been inside there ๐ซฃ
After more than two years, classic Imagineer artwork has returned to The American Adventure rotunda at EPCOT ๐ blogmickey.com/2026/08/clas...
Perhaps slightly absurd, but For the First Time in Forever has my vote because it reminds me of the resort TV channels at the Disneyland Hotel.
Itโs time for a new vote in the second round of the Ultimate Walt Disney Animation Studios Songs bracket! Today, an old-fashioned love song goes up against a modern duet. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
I had a realization yesterday that The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a great allegory for Generative AI. Mickey pawns off work to an autonomous force only to have that force mindlessly use keep doing that very thing and destroy everything while using up plenty of perfectly good water in the process
Nothing emphasizes how terrible the DS9/Voyager uniforms are like showing any of their crew members in almost any other uniform.

โHeading to the 1920s? Gonna kill Hitler?โ Uh, sure, I reply as I cover up the portable DVD player Iโm planning to use to show Rudyard Kipling TaleSpin.

The thing about teasing a Starfleet X-Files division is it makes me want a damn show about a Starfleet X-Files division.
