Had a dream he reached out to me about this and my kids FREAKED out. They would, though. Most accurate part of the dream.
Okay, maybe if Pres. Obama knew I have a basketball novel in search of an agent & publisher, he could make some calls. It won't make any lists next Patchett & Whitehead et al., but he'll like it. Who has his number? Let's do this.

I love Rust & Moth, and I'm thrilled to have a poem in their autumn '26 issue! It's another from my forthcoming book, Beginning to Sense (@matchfactoryeds.bsky.social, early 2027).
New #poetry from Mitchell Nobis: "That Which Glows in the Gray".

By far not the main point here, but his imaginary shirt doesn't fit very well and appears to be made of unstable molecules like the Fantastic Four's uniforms.
"So he can feel a bit more manly by making an AI video" is a direct callback to this image that deserves a second life in this campaign

Here’s my latest #poem. It’s called “Poem.” I know, I know, but read it and you’ll see. Thanks to the magnificent @rustandmoth.bsky.social for taking it.

Been driving across the state all day but HEY! Here, have a new poem. Big thanks to @rustandmoth.bsky.social!

Quick history lesson from an old Amazon, PayPal, all that wasn't some genius who came up with some unique thing. There was a rush to take as many already existing things and put them online and the ones that succeeded were people who were born wealthy.
Listen to this man with good taste and a great beard!
This thing is incredible. Everyone should read it.

The Odyssey isn’t meant to be seen at home on a tv or some multiplex cinema screen or an IMAX screen, especially in 70mm. Be sure to watch it only in the way Christopher Nolan intended: on a gas pump advertising screen with Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos playing all the characters.

It’s that time of year again: here are some of the books I’ve enjoyed this summer. If you’ve read any good ones, let me know!
Anyone available for this tomorrow y/n
Hey, wanna hang out in the hotel bar & drink coffee for a while & discuss the meaning of life & then walk around the city until we're lost & our legs are sore & we stop for food & devour big sandwiches & then maybe find some bourbons & talk about life again? No? Oh, yeah, no, cool, me neither.
Okay, I'm seeing some great posts on this idea of poetry movies, but for real, these are all legit Oscar bait.
Randall Jarell's Ball Turret Gunner starring Tom Holland as the poor kid who enlisted for benefits and structure. I won't give away the ending.
I swear to god I'd gladly watch two hours of rain falling on a wheelbarrow while chickens pass in & out of the frame.
Studio execs are going to want to adapt more poems for the big screen now
Aw man, update the leaderboard! I'm at 8 now, one of the cooler accomplishments I've managed as a writer. (Don't worry, it's mostly a sign of online illness. My job is online, so I see more calls in time than saner writers.)
DAMN I need to double my skulls if I plan on reaching the top 😭💀 @havehashad.com hell of a leaderboard (happy to be tied for bronze alongside @adrianf.bsky.social & below goats @tomsnarsky.bsky.social @martinezfjulian.bsky.social)

Is there an, um, exception clause or whatever for novelists' search histories? Because hooooo buddy...
Any time I read a story like this, I immediately scroll down to see if my favourite true crime trope - the absurdly incriminating search history - gets featured. I can confirm that this one does not disappoint.
Either I'm right & this book is good or I'm stupid and won't give up, but I sent out a couple more query letters yesterday. If it doesn't work, it's definitely stupid because it delays whatever next steps are by 3-6 months depending on agent response time. Whee! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you, like me, thought the Knicks championship *might* make the NYC-centric publishing world excited by the idea of a basketball novel, well, buddards, it would appear we were wrong.
Okay, for many years now I've called Rasheed Wallace "our great philosopher" at rec league and pickup basketball games, and just now seeing this, I realize Redd Foxx and Sheed are like the same dude in different bodies.

I haven't been able to write much yet this summer (but I have been to New York and Colorado, albeit briefly!). In spring, my main focus was sending query letters, and it's all polite rejections or crickets so far. Any boffo advice on this wackadoodle process?
