It’s easy to just sit back and declare that all AI is bad without bothering to think through all the intricacies and complexities and I think that’s why I like to do it so often.

Got confused between NNO and NaNoWriMo and ended up writing a 300-page historic fiction between bites of Linda’s pasta salad and complimenting Scott on his new fence.

I talked to a longtime teacher/professor last night who said she used to go into a class, it was noisy, everyone was talking to each other, she had to say “Okay, okay, settle down.” Now everyone’s quietly on phones so she just… begins.

Bold theory: An upcoming generation will see the damage done by the hyper-online social media tendencies of folks today and they’ll unplug a lot more. Replies turned off. I want that hope.

Yes, it's true, parents of Gen X girl babies were legally required to name the baby Jennifer but you were able to apply for Stacy or Tracy or Sara(h) if you filled out the paperwork, got it notarized, and paid a small processing fee.

I realize it’s fairly late in the game at this point and I absolutely do not live there but I’m thinking of getting into the race for the Democratic nomination for Michigan’s U.S. Senate seat.

In Michigan, this Senate primary won’t come down to who worked harder or who got the most votes. It’s all about who wants it more and who came to play. Anything and anyone can fly up in the air when you play football in the Donkey Shoe state. Remember this: I have hit my head real hard!

John, I want to let you know that several rounds of quasi-Jeopardy were played at SABR's convention over this past weekend between the baseball trivia finalists. And, after each one, they shook hands and/or embraced.

It’s a shame that Zoot never got much acting work outside the Muppets. He was actually up for the Hoffman part in Kramer vs. Kramer and one of the leads in Deet Hunter but just missed. Malick loved him. Part of it was his arrest record, of course. Hard to get insurance.

I have been interviewing people into microphones for like 23 years now, contextualizing and presenting those interviews for audiences. I’m more fascinated, intrigued, and delighted by my work than I’ve ever been. So much to learn. So much to tell. Thanks, universe.

Hmm. It's a stumper. Let's see, which countries are the ones where healthcare (a huge factor as you age) is tied to employment in a society with an unstable employment market with layoff threats always looming and where people over 50 are not so subtly pushed out the door? Is it Sweden? No?

In some countries, depression, loneliness, and memory issues actually improve in middle age. Almost everywhere else, they at least stay steady. And in only ONE country, they get WORSE . I'll give you three guesses and you have to forfeit the first two. maximumfun.org/episodes/dep...
