Anyone else feel like social media has completely sucked the joy out of any new media, especially video games? RE9 has been out for four days and despite muting every possible keyword, I've gotten most of it spoiled by people just posting untagged spoilers on the other site. I'm so sad.

The #1 worst time to get sick while traveling is on your trip. The second worst time is getting sick before your suitcase is even fully unpacked once you get home. Horizontal watching the Puppy Bowl and vaguely considering everything I have to get done today and not doing any of it 🙃

I never really aligned with the whole "we should be picking berries in the woods and instead we have credit scores" line of thinking, but now I get it. I should be finding seashells and writing odes about the ocean but instead I have to pay bills.

Knowing I have a full day of thrifting ahead of me: glorious Knowing 75% of the people shopping with me will be inexplicably on speakerphone or watching Tiktoks at full volume: not glorious

Lots of people are really mad their favorite characters didn't show up in the RE Requiem showcase and I feel bad for them because my three favorite characters showed up. Leon and his arms.

Why is Domino's allowed to have a commercial with the backing track of "Femininomenon" when Chappell specifically cites that she's getting it hot like Papa John's in the song? Wrong trash-tier pizza chain!!

Missing my dad so much. I actually had a line about the Bears sucking by December in his eulogy. That's normally a given, but not this year. He'd love to see this. He really would. :,]

There is not enough tequila in my house to deal with this Bears game right now. We need Ben Johnson to work whatever magic he usually does to put the fear of God in these players during halftime.

I will be taking my live reactions and incoherent screaming/anxiety about the Bears vs. Packers game to Bluesky tonight because the other site doesn't deserve it. You're welcome or I'm sorry.

Pat Dane was an incredibly kind-hearted person, a whip-smart writer, and an Overwatch sicko. We spoke through DMs/replies for years before finally meeting in person last year at a Blizz event. It was like reuniting with an old friend. The world is worse without him. Sending love to his family.

Truly horrific news. I had so much fun covering Overwatch and bantering with Patrick over his Sombra-main ways for the better part of the last five years. He was always kind, dedicated to the craft of journalism, and eager to make the world better. Life is cruel. Praying for his family.

The family of Patrick Dane has made public today the devastating news that their beloved son and brother was in a car accident on December 27th and is no longer with us. His father and stepmother, who were also in the vehicle, are in critical condition, but stable.

If there's one thing I wish I could magically beam into the brains of young women on social media it's that you don't owe anyone who thinks "if she uploads pics of herself she's asking to be AI-edited" a dialogue, an argument, a thought. They don't think you're a person. Don't treat them like one.

Reminding you (and myself, honestly) that it's ok if you don't want to look back, recap, or reminisce today. It's ok to just want 2026 to get here with the least fanfare possible. If it was a "gg go next" kind of year for you, it's ok for this to just be a Wednesday. 🤷

Can someone familiar with the weird guy gaming space tell me if they're mad about the increasingly thirst-based marketing with Leon for Resident Evil: Requiem? It just FEELS like something they'd be furious about.
