Proponents of island airport say the Feds only halted it for “electoral reasons.” Which is probably true. But it’s a tacit admission that so many Torontonians hate the idea its political suicide to support it… not a “fringe” movement. So, which is it? It can’t be both.

It’s pretty clear that the establishment Democrat hand-wringing over DSA/socialist candidates is rooted in the fact that they only want to beat Trump and the GOP if they can do it their way. The problem is that their way doesn’t work and has alienated far too many potential Democratic voters.

My wife and I were talking about this just the other day; I think she’d read that Doctorow had also addressed this question, and that the answer for the vast majority of people was that they’d get through the day just fine without AI.
