Here are some images from our packed Service of Nine Lessons and Carols yesterday. There’s still more carols, candles, choir and brass at the Eucharist of Christmas Night (‘Midnight Mass’) at 10pm on Christmas Eve. Details of all our services here: www.christchurchmorningside.org

A little excursion to the College Valley, including going up Great Hetha and paddling in the Hethpool Linn, followed by the obligatory stop at Doddingtons Dairy cafe.
Having a lovely birthday now the clan is gathered. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate than at the local with my incomparably beautiful wife and increasingly amusing sons!

50. How did that happen? It’s been quite a journey, but I’ve made it this far. I’d like to go back and tell this little chap that it’s all going to work out ok. I wonder what he’d think? (Probably something like ‘Lose some weight, you *** *******’)
Congratulations to @chchholycorner.bsky.social, who recently celebrated 150 years since the laying of the church's foundation stone. Wonderful to welcome the Most Revd Leo Cushley, Roman Catholic Archbishop of St Andrews & Edinburgh, as preacher, and Cllr Robert Aldridge, Lord Provost of Edinburgh.

There is so much to celebrate about the life of Pope Francis, and therefore also a deep sense of loss at his passing. He truly set an example of faithfulness to Christ. And how amazing that he has died in the context of Easter with its message of hope for salvation and new life. (1/3)
Wonderful to have a full church this morning. Thank you to everyone who worshipped with us and contributed to all of the services this Holy Week. Happy Easter! @dioceseofedinburgh.bsky.social
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! The culmination of Holy Week on Holy Corner.
