The food systems we have now, all created by evil elite powers that be, are complex & non-sensical enough to cause arguments re something as simple as drinking milk.

If Democrats are smart (which assumes far too much, I know) they'll campaign hard on this. They don't need Graham Platner to beat Susan Collins. They never did. All they need is a decent candidate who vows to do what she won't: hold the Trump administration accountable.

My kids have measles, I lost my job, and a parasite that the CDC no longer monitors has given me explosive diarrhea. But at least now there’s no plaques honoring Black scientists at the Smithsonian.
Historians should refer to this era of the Supreme Court as the Trump court. It's a more accurate description of the majority's decisions and behavior. As an added bonus, it would probably really piss off John Roberts.
This reminds me of when I recently saw someone complaining that Republicans control all three branches of government and the Supreme Court, and I really wanted to know what they thought the three branches are. My guess was presidency, House, and Senate.

I'm seeing a lot of criticism of Folarin Balogun for playing in last night's World Cup match. Apparently some people think he should have sat as some kind of protest against Trump getting involved and appealing to FIFA to overturn his suspension. I think this is unfair for many reasons. 1/

Ran across this photo and couldn't comment or quote-post, but I had to share because I'm 99% percent sure this is Ross's Landing in Chattanooga. I didn't know Taylor Swift had ever played here, but this is either Chattanooga's riverfront or some place that looks exactly the same.
Funny how when it comes to abusive male pastors, the SBC claims they have no direct control over local churches so they can't do anything about it, but when it comes to (non-abusive) female pastors suddenly they become the Baptist magisterium.
And some of y'all really thought JD had a chance at being Trump's successor.

Sometimes when I'm transcribing depositions I'm like, yeah, I can see why an attorney would ask this question, and then other times I'm like, is there a point here or are you just wasting everybody's time?
A hallmark of conspiracy theories is that the lack of evidence to prove them is just further evidence of the conspiracy. That's what Mike Johnson is peddling here: pure conspiracy theory bullshit. And then he has the nerve to say, "We need people to believe in the integrity of our election system."

Truly a Bluesky moment. If it was real grass someone would be complaining about all the water and environmentally damaging chemicals used to keep it green.
Annie Leymarie@annieleymarie.bsky.social · 2mo agoI would have 'liked' if it wasn't for the plastic lawn. How to explain that if we love animals (and humans) we have to keep a liveable planet, and plastic pollution + loss of nature are top threats to that?
If I never again have to hear about some manufactured "controversy" over a female video game character not meeting some degenerate incel's warped standard of beauty, it will be too soon.
I have come down with a sickness for the first time in probably a couple of years, and in the words of Bart Simpson, this both sucks and blows.
