WTF?!? Sports media is ignoring this story and it is an abdication of human decency.#FreeAminataSeck www.usatoday.com/story/sports...
ICE has detained women’s college basketball player with ACL injury for over a month
Aminata Seck, a women's basketball player at Kentucky State University, has been detained by ICE for over a month while dealing with an ACL injury.

"Some of the most vocal, full-throated opposition to the A.I. Initiative has come from one particular C.S.U. campus: San Francisco State University." It's always good to be in the lead on the opposition front. 🦾

Overwhelmed & grateful for this recognition. And having it presented by my friend @malcomaxx.bsky.social made it that much sweeter. 🙏🏽💜.

Dolores Huerta's statement on Cesar Chavez: “I am nearly 96 years old, and for the last 60 years have kept a secret because I believed that exposing the truth would hurt the farmworker movement I have spent my entire life fighting for... I can no longer stay silent and must share my own experiences"

Not loving the #Valkyries mascot reveal. How about a mascot with more powerful moves, and if you're gonna have instruction from a player as part of the performance, why not bring in women's hoops royalty???? Also, what's up w/ the skirt? Big miss from the marketing dept.
This is a dark stain on football, and will always be remembered as such. That UEFA nor FIFA did or said anything about the hundreds killed and complete anhialation of football in that region is deplorable.
I wrote about the WNBA and dildogate for Andscape: “By using the sex toy to make their point, the stunt becomes more than just an annoyance or a danger during play — it becomes a sexualized threat to the women on the court, an allusion to violence that can keep them in their place.”
Throwing sex toys on court at WNBA games is about power, not humor
This latest 'trend' is not funny. It's harassment

"The WNBA and its players have reached a level of popularity usually reserved for male athletes and leagues, a level of popularity these man-babies can only dream of."
The cryptobros behind the sex objects being thrown at WNBA games should know that only weak men demean women. And anyone pulling a stunt like this is clearly trying to compensate for … something. www.usatoday.com/story/sports...
Thank you to the @sfchronicle.com for letting me report on the USOPC transfeminine athlete ban:
Transgender athletes in limbo as Olympic sports grapple with USOPC ban
With the U.S. Olympic Committee adhering to the Trump administration’s drive to push transgender women out of sports, here’s what that means for athletes and sports organizations.

Funny how all that protect women’s sports energy went out the window as soon as WNBA players showed up with T-shirts bringing awareness to the lack of financial equity they have in their league.
This is footage from today in MacArthur Park. Minutes before, there were more than 20 kids playing — then, the MILITARY comes through. The SECOND I heard about this, I went to the park to speak to the person in charge to tell them it needed to end NOW. Absolutely outrageous.
Never before in the history of this nation has such a large redistribution of income been directed upward, for no reason at all
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
Warnock: A budget is not just a fiscal document. A budget is a moral document. Show me your budget and I'll show you who you think matters and who doesn't. And if this awful budget were an EKG, it would suggest that our nation has a heart problem and is in need of moral surgery
Not that the NCAA had too many principles to begin with, but jeez it's shedding them quickly.

In United States v. Skrmetti, the Supreme Court ruled that Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors was not unconstitutional—the first case of its kind on which the court has ruled.
Justice Sotomayor's dissent in Skrmetti (which she's now reading from the bench) is deeply pained, accusing her colleagues of abandoning "transgender children and their families to political whims" and badly damaging "bedrock" principles of equal protection. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...
