A Jewish Zionist elder millennial with nothing but contempt for authority from the Republic of Georgia. Creature of the night and of habit. Black sea heritage #NAFO მე თავადი, ასული სიონის და ეგრისის!

I always thought that I am too blunt for politics and my lack of filter could be an issue, so I can't understand why a literal ex-Nazi or somebody like Platner thinks running for any political office was a good idea. But maybe that is because those are white men and I am a bisexual Jewish woman?

I may be invisible, but you're transparent.@invisiblelad7.bsky.social · 11h ago

There's a theme of absolute tone deafness around this issue and marginalized people being expected to glad hand white nationalists.

This article calmly deconstructs yet another russian information warfare attack on the Western media sphere, reminding us that Ukrainian intellectuals are entitled to demand editorial consistency from The Economist when it publishes narratives from russian state media disguised as journalism.

Why Did ‘The Economist’ Platform a Russian Oligarch?

The magazine’s recent interview discussing the future of Russia merely restated Vladimir Putin’s talking points.

Soooooo I take it a lot of bitter ass people on the looney left don’t know that Jasmine Crockett’s hometown is St Louis? I swear to goodness the politics of white grievances and misery are going to keep us in this cycle. Fix the damn racism & we could probably move forward.

In 1986, contracting HIV meant you were going to die, usually slowly, painfully, and alone. Now it's a chronic illness like hypertension. In 1986, gay and lesbian couples couldn't have their relationships legally recognized and had to adopt elaborate legal workarounds.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

The biggest mistake this country ever made (after the obvious ones) is not purging the Confederacy and its entire ideology from this country when it had the chance. EVERYTHING that is wrong right now can be traced back to Confederate ideology and mentality. The GOP is The Confederacy reborn.

Just a reminder that the Confederacy
only existed for five years. It's not
Ireland, where centuries of ancestors
lived and died. It's not your heritage.
Nirvana lasted longer than the
Confederacy. My emo phase in the
early 2000's lasted longer than the
Confederacy. You're not proud of those
five years of your great-great-great-
great-grandfather's life. You like white
supremacy. Stop pretending it's
something else.

Again, IMO Cori Bush, Nina Turner and Kat Abughazaleh are grifters, who use their losses in the political arena to tour and podcast, whining about how they were wronged by the establishment for notoriety and monetary gain.

Cori Bush is proof that DSA candidates can’t win everywhere. They need a different strategy - AIPAC bad isn’t enough. Especially when people are suffering enormously here.
