it didn't even occur to me that the government might try to execute someone a second time if they torture the person but fail to kill them during a first botched attempt. truly grotesque and a moral stain upon all involved.

Bigoted and stupid. The idea that the United States is at risk of falling under sharia rule is ludicrous on its face. There’s a much greater risk of Christian nationalists changing this nation for the worse. And they’re the ones using the phantom sharia threat to justify their own extreme agenda.
