I have no particular expertise but historically Port Nelson was abandoned part way into construction, for Churchill, because of insurmountable difficulties. Take a look at a map which show the railway line, partially constructed at the time, veering north. Am I missing something?

Leaving aside, the fact that all this over the top response is premise on a complete this characterization of what is actually happening, isn’t it kind of funny to see Jivani pointing the finger at someone for having outrageous and ridiculous ambition?

Lots of morning and groaning about stuff that may or may not happen. You also have to generate wealth in order to be able to distribute it and spend it on programs.
I was going to be harsher in my comment, I suggesting that Poilievre was being clever with this answer. I’ve decided instead to apply Hanlon’s razor and conclude it stupidity, not malice. But really, how incompetent is this to head into this interview without already having a better line in hand.
He’s telling the truth. He IS confused. But not confused enough to stop pandering to MAGA.

They know damn well what "51st state" means. And they also know damn well what it means when a Trumpist moron labels the country a "little yippy dog".
Trumps new trade punishment looks both amateurish and last minute. He claims to be the overlord of the western hemisphere. Looks to me like he couldn’t organize a good crap.
During Trump‘s first term adult supervision, kept some guard rails on, such that it was largely White House staff that knew to a certainty that Trump was a moronic loser. This time around, having surrounded himself with nothing but other moronic, losers, it’s readily apparent to all.
Funny isn’t it how OBSESSED they are with Canada. If they were confident. Of anything they wouldn’t be doing this crap. Frightened children they are.

Yesterday‘s US job numbers come from a source where the honest people were fired. They don’t match up with other objective measures. Not even close. But the story points out the incompetence of the US regime. Trump cooked the numbers only to fond that they would put upper pressure on interest rates
Interesting treatment of job numbers from August on the MSM in Canada. Not withstanding the massive gains in Q3 so far, Canadian jobs decline is treated as the impending doom from American trade issues. American numbers, demonstrably suspect, are treated as firm, and sign that Trump is winning.
