Let me be very clear - transparent and rigorous science is not possible under the current administration. Part of the "gold standard" of health research is including a diverse study population - biology is not "one size fits all"!

This administration is anything but committed to creating a Nation free of cancer. The ongoing funding freeze is causing clinical trials to be stopped, and the attack on diversity, equity, inclusivity, and accessibility has made conducting representative studies impossible.

"The White House can lie all they want about how they're not stopping cancer research," the NIH source said, "but they're stopping cancer research on [NIH's] Bethesda campus." Can confirm. The many shifting rules and EOs and bans do seem designed to stop cancer research at #NIH.

1. The Trump administration has crippled cancer and Alzheimer's research by imposing a freeze on all government credit cards at NIH. An NIH source with direct knowledge tell Popular Information that scientific research has ground to halt because necessary supplies can no longer be purchased.
