Dealing with a problem I occasionally have when drawing maps wherein I have drawn too much stuff and I have to decide where to cut extraneous detail 😐
This year I’ve seen several AI slop political ads by right wingers against less right wing candidates: against Mamdani, against Talarico, against (yes) Massie. Probably there’s many more. Serious question: are these crap ads reslly always made by conservatives?
It really is bleak that in 2026 supposed liberals are peddling the “Muslim Brotherhood = Hamas = evil terrorists” line and not the post Arab Spring “Muslim Brotherhood = won Egyptian presidency = then was victim of massive murderous military-dictator crackdown = their President then died in prison”
I have a friend I used to spend a lot of time with but they just aggressively aren’t interested in my current projects and always change the topic whenever I bring it up. I know I should be able to silo this off from them but I can’t help resenting them for it and wanting to just avoid them totally.
I love Audio Descriptions — any show can become a podcast! I would totally watch Yellowjackets and Fear the Walking Dead on Netflix this way, but those shows dont have audio descs, presumably because they are licensed and not Netflix-native. 😕

Re: “Obsession”: if I wished, f.x. that “Donald Trump will reverse all his policies,” I’d assume this wish would manifest via Trump finding a tiny spark of goodness in his heart, rather than being forced to act decent while screaming inside. (But in Trump’s case, I wouldn’t care too much either way)

It's kind of strange there is more Dunsany influenced stuff from one novel (King of Elfland's Daughter) than 5-6 books of short stories. Much more stuff inspired lately by his Britishy elf fantasy than the Orientalist pseudo-ancient-world weird Dream stories. Maybe it's obvious putting it that way

This is why LLMs scare me more than AI art. AI art may produce infinite clipart and take away artist jobs drawing band flyers (I simplify) but people basically know it’s fluff. But LLM answers with the illusion of objectivity can hide massive bias
