one thing that I appreciated about Zohran was his willingness to backtrack from some of the Woke 1.0 era posts that didn’t age well and were posted in a different context. I do not understand why Hong is incapable of doing that, especially since she is running in a swing state instead of NYC

Hong: I'm a chef, and one of the first meals that I made was for the community when I was 16 was a Thanksgiving meal. But Thanksgiving is also a time that's incredibly painful for many people in our communities. And so I think there, I wanted to make sure that people understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve. And the position that I'm running for right now, and I think my background as a chef will actually help me become a better governor that's able to bring more people to the table.

one thing I appreciate with YIMBYs is that they’re pathetic enough to remove the mask once they think they’re in the clear their whole egalitarian schtick was a reaction to what they believed was popular at the time as opposed to tenets of the theory

this is incredible: we have raised almost $35K in a single day. Split across 9 candidates that’s almost $4k per candidate. One of the candidates, @bradtabke.bsky.social, raised a TOTAL of $81K in 2024 on his way to winning by just 15 votes we just raised 5% of that in a single day. incredible

This afternoon alone, we have raised over $10,000 for close state legislature races. but because my messaging isn’t 100% aligned with your preferences I am apparently helping republicans? man, nothing is good enough for some of the top minds on here

You didn’t use “Republican” once which is the party Dems are running against & who is carrrying out the gerrymandering. As they were long before Trump or his maga movement came along. Your messaging does nothing but help hide what Republicans have done & are doing & help them avoid accountability

I align with Abdul more on policy but I really think many people on the left are underestimating how catastrophic it would be to the broader movement if there’s a blue wave in November but Abdul still loses, costing us control of the senate and allowing Trump to nominate more SCOTUS justices
