I have eaten too much candy

Food, medicine, hygiene products, basic consumer goods, electronics (if you don’t count the lack of headphone jack; that’s a consistent design failure every new phone). Even cars are higher quality and more affordable. The main downgrades are air travel (quality) and housing (affordability).

Yup, Republicans LOVE to distort stats like this—basically saying a place or company or wherever has more X (where X is bad) when what’s actually going on is the source is more responsible about tracking and reporting occurrences of X.

I see the UK takes protecting Jews around as seriously as it takes protecting trans people. (Not really a surprise since Jeremy Corbyn, but still depressing to see.)

I’ve seen some people complain that it’s too hard to avoid antisemitic tropes in their language because there are too many of them. I feel your pain. Now imagine what it’s like to be on the receiving end of all those tropes.

I wonder how hard it is to make an outfit that is simultaneously classy and depicts someone suffering severe bodily harm. A challenge for the 2027 designers, but they’ve made some wild outfits.

Funny that he references religious wars in the Middle Ages to claim Judaism is the same as Christianity and Islam, given that the only time Jews were involved with those wars was when Christian or Muslim armies took a detour from killing each other to slaughter nearby Jews.

For my money one of the best examples of this is Barnard’s A Murder in Belgravia, where a) the murder has a very satisfying solution and b) the very last page has a twist that recontextualises the whole book but in a way that is both very satisfying and you will kick yourself for not spotting

As a Jew, I have a natural sympathy for someone who has a mob of lunatics who make their entire personality hating on a fictional version of them which has become their gospel truth. Especially when the mob proceeds to harass and/or attack the real, non-fictional person.

I’ve found that there are some candidates who run on issues or against their opponents, and there are candidates who run against Evil Jews™️. The ones running against Evil Jews™️ are never the better candidates.

This is a solid 50% of jumpscares in indie horror games. I fear whoever chooses to buy it.
