Discussing the genocide of Palestinians in the context of Gaza since 2023 ignores just as much history as Zionists do when they start their accounting on October 7th. In fact, al Aqsa Flood was a retaliation to Zionist atrocities in the West Bank and the PA’s complicity to those atrocities.

When the dust settles and Palestinians are able to assess the magnitude of Israeli extermination and devastation, what we think we know about what happened in Gaza over these last 15 months is actually going to be far worse and more cruel than what we could have imagined

Ceasefire, which has been on the table and rejected by “Israel” for months, is a sigh of relief for Palestinians experiencing active genocide. May we taste the joy of justice and lasting peace through the dissolution of “Israel,” applied accountability, & the actualization of our right of return.

I'm reading news of an imminent ceasefire deal. I'm praying that the violence truly stops, that we don't see drawn-out death by another name. I pray that we all stay alert and awake regardless of what comes next. None of us are free until Palestine is free and a ceasefire is not freedom.

It’s hard to explain the longing for a place I’ve never seen. It’s almost genetic. Both sides of my family were expelled to Jordan after ‘48, & we have roots there as well as in the US, but I long for my homeland. Not just Palestine but the villages of my grandparents. The cultural inheritance lost.
