Can finally share! ASEH and Forest History Society are pleased to announce the search for the next editor of Environmental History has concluded with the appointment of Ellen F. Arnold, PhD. Ellen and her team at the Ohio State University will begin transitioning into their new roles this summer.

I recently came across the best ever rationale for species introduction to the UK: "I reckon we could just throw the middle spotted woodpecker into the UK. It would be very satisfying to have that gap between lesser and greater filled, regardless of the consequences."
