AAAAA PHEW just finished binding a bunch of new zines that compile my PNW fantasy sketch pages :”) just in time for when I get to table at the Portland Zine Symposium tomorrow if anyone’s in the area come say hi!!!

What is Goblin Hill? It is foremost an aesthetic ideal that dictates my artistic practice. In practical terms it is a Dream Residence, a long low rambling house perched on the ridge of a hill somewhere in the Wisconsin driftless. It is an artistic commune, a refuge & fortress. My glittering mirage.

Image: a photograph of a large print distressed by hand. It depicts an architectural drawing of a long low rambling prairie house in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. It's full colorized with a vintage combination of ink and watercolor, and there are labels indicating parts of the house. There are four major areas:
The Main House, which contains kitchen and dining areas, bedrooms, and spaces for rest and the displaying of art and art objects.
The Studio, a large shared art making space, with accompanying offices for art administration.
The Garden Terrace, where food is grown, including a large communal kitchen and pantries and cold rooms for the canning and storing of food. There are apertments for farmers, guests, and resident artists, as well as a Garage and a Mother'a Cottage for the designers family.
Goblin's Hill, the grassy hilltop around which the house is built like a languid curled dragon. It is filled with statuary depicting grinning goblins in various states of repose, moss covered and worn.

The house also possesses a small solar farm and overlooks a narrow valley through which a stream meanders. In the distance are forests and wind turbines indicating a gently solar-punk style future.

The print is stamped and sealed with the coat of arms of Goblin Hill.

this piece has been my desktop bg for years and I'm still not tired of it. i look at it and think about: the relationship between Le Guin and her Earthsea books; the relationship between Miyazaki and his son while this movie was being made; the impression this movie had on all those members, (1/2)

a fully rendered painting from Ghibli's "Tales from Earthsea" movie. A young boy reaches out to a shimmering gray dragon. the backdrop is a vast field cut with vast lakes

EVENT TIME :D WAHOO My wife and i are at Crafty Wonderland (portland OR) tonight and tomorrow!!! we’re super excited to vend here for the first time, come say hi if you’re around! there are some seriously amazing creators here

ummmmmm i think a handful of people will notice that the xiv zine was actually finished like... last year ty for baring with me on belated announcements, IT WILL HAPPEN A LOT lol i get so carried away with finishing projects, that I often forget to find time to properly promote them too

So another lil project I worked on semi-recently was an XIV zine!!! A compilation of all the journal-sketchpages I'd made, for the misc side-adventures I'd gone on after finishing the Main Story. Job Quests, Deep Dungeons,... that sort of thing

an ink journal sketchpage for the game FFXIV. it's collaged with: scenic shots of a house in a large tree, an enormous castle floating in the sea, and an intimidating purple dragon. a scene with an elf holding a lantern and her horned friend holding an ax. Behind them is an intricate wooden fortress tucked away in the middle of the woodsthere are two characters riding chocobos in the top half of the sketchpage. On the bottom is a street scene of a colorful city likely based on India's architecture an ink journal sketchpage for the game FFXIV. it's collaged with: an elf and chocobo resting in the dappled light of grass; exploration through water-filled ruins; campsites in the middle of a foggy forest.
