Nothing quite like finding a race condition in code that's been live for a year on a website you work on. Found it in literally seconds just from glancing through the code for something related. A capable dev wrote it, a senior dev approved it. Do I need to code review everything my team works on? 😩
isn't it so cool that you're reading these words and now you're thinking about an idea that wasn't there before? you were scrolling along or whatever and then BAM new thought, new POV. what other creatures just gather around and exchange thoughts and ideas to entertain their big brains like humans?

As a software engineer I really resent the general public calling the "spicy autocorrect shittifier" the phrase "artificial intelligence". It's a specific type - Generative AI. Different from voice assistants, computer and machine vision, video game enemy behavior... AI has been around awhile. 😩
