It’s comforting that everyone has bathroom anxiety dreams. Finding a bathroom when you have to pee, bathrooms full of tons of people with all the doors off facing inward like a panopticon, choosing between the panopticon bathroom or one overflowing with the most awful piles of shit and sewer…

The problem with getting busy on a rocky outcropping in the ocean under a full moon with crashing waves around like some epic sapphic mermaid fantasy shit is trying to even come close to that energy on the next date

Reading excerpts from yet another book discussing how transition positions "biomedical intervention as necessary" and makes trans people "cathect hope on a for-profit medical industry" and I am done. I am fucking done. This is fucking out of touch with reality and yet rife in trans scholarship.

GLP-1's are going to destroy the gonzo and picaresque fiction category. We're going to get inundated with smol bean stories about people living normal happy lives and accomplishing goals. Boring.

if you are a trans reader of mine and you struggle to explain to cis family and friends why you hurt so much lately I wrote this so you can send it to them. I feel like we know this pain intimately but I want everyone to understand it, because we are going to need help if it’s ever going to stop.

Today @victoriascott.bsky.social writes about Juniper Blessing, a University of Washington student who was murdered last week, and worries about the potential loss of a better future for young trans people she had always hoped was coming. www.welcometohellworld.com/this-pain-ha...

Is there a vent straight to the core power room? And how should we think about the independent contractors working on the ballroom? Are they complicit or innocent? Did they know what they're getting into? Do they take contract work from Dominic Bambino?

I was joking yesterday about the Deathstar Ballroom but he really has stopped talking about it in terms other than how much military force it can project

you could do computer work and hate it and dream of farming and a simple life but the reality is mowing, more mowing, fixing mowers every 10 hours of mowing, having bush hog blade spindles just fucking snap out of 1/4” steel after hitting something and do shitty welding and pray it works

I find this looks vaguely familiar, and thus comforting... it must be fractal, just less obvious? Some part of my brain intuits a pattern but I can't really 'see' it as obvious. Maybe they just zoomed in really close to a piece of carpet or something.

Behold! This is the largest, sharpest 3D map of the universe yet

A new map of the cosmos, including more than 47 million galaxies and other cosmic objects, represents one of the most extensive surveys of our universe ever conducted

Sipping some nice coffee, watching a screen of AIS transponder dots milling about, but not through, the Strait of Hormuz, all very calm, like ants, with lofi beats in the background, waiting for something to happen.

No big deal just a solar eclipse as seen from the moon streamed to us here on Earth by astronauts who are farther away from their home planet than any human has ever been

Nothing says no more wars like a request for a 44% increase in defense spending, a jump not seen since WWII. And $250+ billion for Iran, which doesn't get allocated until Fiscal Year 2027, which *starts in October*, doesn't sound like a situation that's going to be over in 2-3 weeks.
