There is a battle going on between the wealthy and the working class. But there's also a battle between the educated and the terminally stupid, who are very often also bigots.

If you think "working class" means exclusively white dudes working in factories, you're buying into a marketing campaign designed specifically to divide and neutralize the power of organized labor. None of the reasons to be suspicious of Platner can be so neatly divorced from class consciousness.

My taxes do not go to schools to subsidize parents' dreams of Olympic gold. They're not there to oppress teenagers. We pay for public school programs to make sure EVERY CHILD is prepared to enter society as a fully formed, educated adult. Limiting trans womens' access to this experience is bullshit.
Competitive high school sports are not about gladiatorial domination; they exist to teach kids teamwork, comradery, promote exercise, and give them a sense of accomplishment. I can think of no better way to accomplish those goals than to compete alongside our trans brothers, sisters, and siblings.
