COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN !! Got options for icons (whatever species!), half-body pieces, as well as feral full bodies and custom warrior cat designs !! All options under 25 USD and usually a very set flat rate even if the design is a little “complicated” 💕 raising money for moving out early next year

the idea that there exists some linear progress graph of improvement over time that we're gradually moving towards has been the biggest longstanding cliche with how both people in the game industry and the public at large talks about videogames. it's just not true
Enjoying Queen's Domain so far, although a portion of the playerbase calling it an improvement on king's field is concerning to me! What defines King's Field are the controls (esp. the cam controls which deeply affect the action), lack of jump, and slow classic dungeon-crawler-esque pace
many people seem to forget that blizzаrd is owned by miсrоsоft
I think this is common enough now that you could call it a phenomenon, where the defining limitations of a classic game are removed, and players call it an "improvement" on "clunky" mechanics and controls. IMO the mechanics define games as much if not more than the themes or aesthetic vibe.

To clarify, the issue isn't with the devs at all but how the changes are perceived as improvements and not sidesteps. Limitations are often what make the original games so interesting. Chess where every piece moves like a queen isn't really chess, even if all the pieces look the same as before.
