After some low-attendance MN State Fair days on Tuesday and Wednesday, Friends of the Boundary Waters has plenty of handy sporks to give out in the days ahead. It was fun seeing so many friendly faces! Thanks for the smiles and keep up the fight for our environment!

Tim Walz just signed an executive order to halt new state permitting and leases for copper-sulfide mining in the Rainy River Watershed. The DNR will also draft a permanent mining ban. Minnesota is fighting back.
In Tafoya’s honor I took the bus to work (as usual) bought a $7 protein latte (not from Starbucks) and ordered one of those adorable Flanagan State Fair Giant Slide shirts.

Since Republicans took control of Washington, Americans have been forced to pay over $3,500 more on everyday essentials. In the Granite State, it’s $4,400 more. The President promised to lower costs, and yet, families are continuing to pay for his failed policies.
This has been bothering me all night. Usually I focus on what I can do and strive to stay present with all I have to be grateful for, but sometimes I just cannot. Abuse is a terrible thing to bear and just as dreadful to witness.

Great to see St Paul Mayor Kaoly Her and Rep Leigh Finke at St Anthony neighborhood’s 4th parade! Also I ran my first race in almost 2 years, a crazy hilly 2-mile loop in under 16 minutes, making me one of the fastest 55+ women to ever run this race (& prob faster than any ICE officer) Happy 4th!
