I draw lonely monsters

I'm starting to get so fatigued watching all these game showcases because out of all the games shown, even if I was interested in only half of them I know that nowadays I'll end up playing 2 of them MAYBE and just the presentation style, like how often can you hear "an epic journey awaits" anymore

In Mario Party, minigame descriptions treat being eliminated merely as being out of the game, except for Bumper Balls, which drastically shifts the tone by stating the winner is the last one left alive. This implies that while other minigames might be for fun, Bumper Balls is to the death.

In Mario Party, the descriptions for minigames involving characters being hurt or eliminated use neutral language, such as characters being "knocked off" or "poked", and the winner being "the last one standing". However, the tone shifts drastically for Bumper Balls, the Mini-Game Island description of which states that the winner is the "last one alive".

Talked to a coworker and they seemed genuinely surprised at the fact that I make art... by hand "dont you just like... generate it?" I've never before felt the need to justify myself on this, it seems so baffling that some people really believe these are comparable generating "art" is abhorrent

Finally finally played through Outer Wilds The second time around I got hooked hard, and while I don't quite love it I struggle to find things to criticise, it does it's thing so damn well I guess it's more of an experience type of game than anything, you can only play it once really worth it tho

Replaying Yoshis Island, I find myself looking forward to playing specific coloured yoshis based on my memory and perceived quality of the levels associated with that colour Red and light blue are my favourites, with purple being at the bottom, surprisingly
