Preparing for my journey north. I’ve got my Steam Deck ready with SRW 30, and the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake. I also have new manga, and a ton of Kamen Rider ready. Hopefully, I’ll survive the loads of travel time I have to deal with. Excited to be on the road again.

You know what, after this big trip I got coming up, if I have money. I will be getting the new WoW: Forever. I had such a rabid love for early WoW and even leveled in classic for a while. But this? A whole new adventure? This sounds exciting.

Let’s be honest. I can’t play all these games. I have to seriously consider what I can and cannot accomplish. There are simply too many games I want to play or in my current backlog. I miss the days when I could sit down and play games for hours and hours. Now I have to be selective.

In search of the next sci-fi JRPG, I have settled on the Xenosaga series on PS2. With some help from the discord I got it up and running on my steam deck. After playing it…. This is gonna be quite the series. I’m excited to continue this playthrough.

I’d be interested in the new WoW Forever if I could play with people again and had a group that could all start together. It’s hard to want to solo queue in a game that has massively multiplayer in the game genre. I’d love to find a guild that my wife and I can join and play with together.

I forgot how much fun FFXI is and once you get the keyboard down it’s like easier? I don’t know, I just love the pacing of FFXI, FFXIV is just over done at this point IMO

Working on leveling and remembering how to play Hallgrim tonight

I did not play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as planned because I couldn’t get the motivation to sit at my big PC. I’m coming to realize that my Steam Deck is my little JRPG and emulation machine so I continued my save file on Ar Tonelico which has been fun. I’ll probably continue it this weekend as well.

I wish I had the space for physical media. I just don’t have enough room. I had a whole room dedicated to gaming and I had to minimize my setup over the years and combine spaces with my wife. I love physical media but I just wish it was easier to own. I just don’t have the space, man….

I know I mentioned playing FFXI this weekend, but damn… S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is calling to me again, and I always come crawling back…

This weekend I’m devoting some time to FFXI. I haven’t played in a while and I just resubbed. Looking forward to venturing in Vana’diel this weekend. I’ll probably be writing more on my blog this weekend as well discussing my plans for the fall and winter months. See yall tomorrow! Tonight FFX!

I feel like it’s becoming more self evident that I need to get rid of my PS5 and invest in the Switch 2. I just don’t use it anymore. I never was a fanboy but at this point everything that’s coming out is coming out on Switch 2.

Just got FFXI downloaded to my Steam deck (I always forget that PlayOnline sucks). Will be playing tomorrow as I want to play some SRPG’s tonight. Looking forward adventuring in Vana’diel.

I bought some crysta so I will be putting in some work with FFXI. I don’t know where this will go but I want to give this a shot. I feel that FFXIV is just an mmo with training wheels. FFXI is archaic but still more cozy to me.

I’m contemplating resubbing for FFXI…. I haven’t given it a real shot since the XB360. I can play it on my Steam deck as well. Hmmmm….

It’s hard not to get radicalized about the gaming industry these days. What was a safe space feels like a battleground. I don’t know what to believe or what avenue to take because every route doesn’t seem right.
