Ser Nostradamus' name is not actually his. Such a name became so entwined with him due to his mythological association with being able to "predict the future." Nothing but battlefield embellishment.

His name was Hans von Ziegler.

He was a skilled swordsman. Able to read an opponent quickly. Attempts at fighting back were turned against the opponent almost instantly.

Impressive, undoubtedly.
Exhausting for an eternity.

Becoming a demon from his pact with the collective of the Tree of Knowledge, he quickly became a permanent member of Molinnaire's legion. No fear of death. Or need for physical rest.

Rather, he no longer had a physical body.

A sword made unbreakable yet forced to remain some sort of museum fixture. A knight who is no longer man. A suit of armor with a voice.

How large a part of that is an honorable warrior?
And where does it become eternal slavery?

All for the whims of an aging king, who unlike his revived legion, has an organic body, and not a demonically revived one.
