(she/her) TTRPG player and designer, artist, world-class procrastinator, AI hater. My cats seem to like me

I've run north of 500 sessions across a dozen different systems over the last decade. I've drawn maps, used art I found online, painted minis, built terrain, and created playlists. It did not once occur to me to outsource any of this to the Shitty Plagiarism Machine. Skill issue, you useless fuck.

"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take

I just found out the Bayeux Tapestry will be in the British Museum later this year, when I'm coming over for a week. And immediately found out the tickets for the whole 2026 have already sold out. 😭 One time I specifically want to see a legit exhibit they DIDN'T actually steal, and I can't. 😞

I really really want to get it, but I'm doubtful if I can get 3-6 people to actually get INVESTED in this enough to make it work. This doesn't look like a game you can half-ass, I would need people who will fully lock in, actually read through the whole thing and STAY invested. 😅🙃

SEVEN-PART PACT, my fantastical ornate TTRPG about powerful wizards, asymmetrical board games, and the pressures of masculinity is now launching on kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sjg...

I have a question for Scotland. Why is every single table in this country sticky? And I mean EVERY table. All sorts of cafes, pubs, restaurants and cafeterias. Is it on purpose? Is there a law? Is the local brand of cleaning product for tables sticky? Do you not know that a table CAN be clean? 😭

I recently bought a bike (the model is called Luiza Legend and I love it), and it feels like such an infuriating scam that physical exercise, even moderate exercise, genuinely makes you feel SO MUCH better. You're telling me dragging a combined 100kg of me+bike around is what I actually need?

A black city bike with white tires parked on a sidewalk next to some parked cars

After spending a good while yesterday arguing with idiots online, today I decided to just block them. It feels so much better, we should all just do that. I'm going to play some TTRPGs this weekend, and eat tacos.

for the avoidance of completely needless confusion and conflict: when someone from europe says “there are many reasons we don’t currently have air conditioning in our homes and businesses” they are NOT saying “we’re scared of AC because we’re stupid and poor”

I need to get off social media until this heat wave ends. Or until the Americans manage to rub two braincells together and realize that if there's a problem and they don't understand why it's not being solved in a Very Obvious Way, it's probably because they're missing some fucking CONTEXT.

Jfc did NONE of you people actually watch the video? The professor explains that your brilliant "AC everywhere" plan would make the outside literally unlivable, the power grid can't take it, and people can't afford the AC. It's not stubbornness, it's a systemic infrastructure issue!

everyone’s going to have to learn to love air conditioning by the end of this heat waves are much deadlier than you think, your alternative is arguing for many people to die

It's going to be around 40°C here over the weekend, so I got the cooking done in advance. I have a big pot of birria. I'll just need a few minutes at the stove each day to reheat the consomé and assemble the tacos. Still, I'm not looking forward to this. 🫠
