Really looking forward to heading back to Leeds this year after missing 2025. Come too! The line up this year is so good.

Have you got your ticket for the @1972shp.bsky.social Summer Conference yet? It's the hottest ticket in town so snap it up while you can: box office closes July 1st, tickets are available from store.leedstrinity.ac.uk/product-cata... Concession tickets from store.leedstrinity.ac.uk/product-cata...

Why did it have to take several nations to threaten to ban social media for under 16s for Meta to start doing teen insta accounts? If they'd been doing them from the start, we might not be talking at a ban now.

As automated emails go, this one was a shocker. Made me panic my account had been hacked when it was nothing to do with the payment failing. I replied to say, 'This sounds like a you problem'. I await their response.

In pursuit of some kind of life outside of work and inspired by the summer hol list of @spbeale.bsky.social I've had some 'nice things' to do lists since Sept and they've worked well. Now trying to write one for the coming term. What's traditional for Jan/early Feb? Other than self-flagellation.

Saw a sign in a shop today that said 'Your comfort zone will kill you' and felt moved to say that this kind of LinkedIn poison is absolute bollocks. Being comfortable is a life goal for many people. Choose hustle culture if you want, but don't try to impose it on me, please and thank you.

I see the Telegraph has been picked to lead the charge against long school hols this year. I love how many people think children would cope with being in school 50 weeks pa. I wonder what the crossover is between those people and the ones who let their children have a day off after sports day.

Looking forward to heading north in September to talk about some exciting cross-curricular units we've been working on at school, inspired by both the @histassoc.bsky.social and the @geographicalassoc.bsky.social conferences #TeamHums
