As usual, inaccessible ENT waiting room, having to be on alert for them to “call out” my name. Relying on other people in the room for cues. The life of ENT!

Fantastic to watch two new films from LumoTV tonight’s premiere. Both powerful in their own ways. I really look forwards to see what LumoTV (British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust) brings in the future.

SignHealth's @lucywarnes.bsky.social and the policy and campaigns team partnered with the @bda.org.uk @ndcs-uk.bsky.social and RNID for a drop-in event today in Westminster to introduce ourselves to MPs and share the views of the deaf community
So proud of SignHealth’s collective work with meeting the MPs recently. This one was from today with a colleague that I am so proud to work closely with.
Today, SignHealth's Robin Ash met with @laylamoran.bsky.social MP, Chair of the Health and Social Care Committee. This was a great opportunity to discuss the importance of lived experience and including deaf people in political decision-making.
go.bsky.app/9w8hwQD Finally set up starter pack for deaf charities in UK so far so you can follow their content. Please DM if you need me to add any more here
Enough is enough, we are still sick of poor access to our healthcare
Yesterday we were in Westminster with @rnib.bsky.social and other charities to hand in letters to the Health Secretary Wes Streeting. We are asking him to meet with us to discuss how to make healthcare accessible for deaf people. #StillSickOfIt #WhereIsOurAccess
Together we can make a difference to the our access to healthcare.
Seven charities have met in Westminster today to demand “better access to the NHS” for disabled people, as a revised Accessible Information Standard remains unpublished.
