Found my way to being the official photographer for an open house my work was involved in today. Mostly it involved just showing up with my camera and carrying it all day, acting like a professional while trying to sell things. I still prefer flowers/nature, but some shots came out okay.
Anxiety has been utterly flattening me lately and I don't imagine it's going to get any better any time soon with a major surgery and the resulting months of being bedridden. I'm terrified of how much this is going to ruin my life, even if this is necessary. Just wanted to cry that into the void.
For several reasons my attempts at giving away the fish I'd made were unsuccessful, mostly because people kept giving me money for them! Managed to pay for the materials used in their creation, so maybe I'll just have a bag of these for next year and actually buy a booth for a day to sell them.
#Calfurry might now be over, and life has to carry on with work and such, but being able to spend a few days with my two best friends ( @corinavr.bsky.social and @freebonez.bsky.social ) just enjoying everything furry was absolutely priceless and something I wouldn't trade for the world.
After a dab or two of glue, the final touches on the latest batch of goldfish crackers is done. Expect @corinavr.bsky.social and I to be handing these out to some (un)lucky folk at #Calfurry this year!
I wanted to make a happy little super market scene, with lots of parking and lights, and of course, a cart return. After running into some problems with the lights (they're 3v, not 12v), I finished up yesterday. I am satisfied with how it came out. I learned a lot since my last lil project.
I have a habit of giving away my plush goldfish crackers, so I've started to make another batch as I have none left for the next convention. I'm trying a couple with eyes this time as that sounded like a bad idea. Hopefully they'll all be stuffed and ready by the end of the week.
I've been in Canada for 3 months now. There's a lot of mental & emotional healing going on. Trying to reconnect with some lost parts, and maybe discover something new. Part of that has been dabbling in creativity, mainly in the form of dioramas for our model train town. This is my first creation.
While you losers are jumping around with your silly walkmans, I'll just be over here chilling with my way cooler EggMan. Jealous much? Thought so.
Been a week since I last spent time with Imogen, but I kinda miss wearing her on this happy #fursuitfriday
With the #Calfurry schedule being released recently, guess it's time to post this flyer for our panel at the convention. Come to picture day and leave with something to show your parent(s) and make them proud! Or deeply disappointed! We don't judge!
My final thoughts on #TailsOfSummer2026? It was okay. Very small, fun for a first year convention. Wish there had been more of a lot of things, but I don't regret this weekend. If I didn't have a fursuit to wear around, if Imogen hadn't been in my life, I don't think I would have enjoyed it at all.
Travelling to the far West coast of Canada was a fun adventure, and although the reason we are here turned out to mostly be a dud, I cannot argue with how pretty this area is. Corina and I went on a walk near the water and got to see Vancouver through the haze. Would recommend.
Mixed feels so far at Tails of Summer. Very small convention, not much that I'm interested in so far, and feeling a lot lonely. Maybe should have just sat this one out. Heck.
Literally my favourite dinosaur is the archaeopteryx. Love this lil bird dino so hecking much 💜

After a drastically too long drive, a lot of fires, a lot of crazy hecking traffic, Corina and I have landed at Tails of Summer! Should be a fun lil convention. This is the furthest West I've yet been in Canada, which is kinda fun.
Wish the speakers at work went loud enough to drown out the thoughts in my own head.
Feeling pretty good after work asked me to bring my photog gear in and do some promotional material for them to use online and in printouts, only to be told afterwards that what I was doing (that they asked for) wasn't necessary & they wanted something different now. Nobody enjoys any of my shots.
The panel schedule hasn't been released yet, but via their online portal it seems my wife and I have had our silly panel idea accepted at a furry convention we are going to later this year. Will be our first time doing this sort of thing, and I'm feeling a lil excited for it.
Accidentally dropped my phone, screen down, onto gravel today. My screen protector came in clutch as it broke up pretty bad but my phone's screen itself is entirely unscathed. Guess they are useful after all.
I cannot say my new lil Olympus micro 4/3 camera is good, but it's small and light enough for me to carry when I don't want to take my big camera with me and I like the shots from it much better than my phone so good enough I guess. A couple random snaps from a walk with my wife today at a park.
Bought a new to me camera today that came with an external flash that had a locking pin malfunction. Opened the flash to service the pin, being careful of the caps. Got to the pin and did my repair, then during reassembly I kept shocking myself. Over and again. Just constantly. I am not a smart bean
There, suit fully cleaned, washed, and on a series of fans to get ready for the next convention.
New experience for me from this weekend: having a man wearing a wig in a costume explain to me what women with long hair wearing lip gloss or lipstick have to deal with (hair in mouth). I, a woman with very long hair that wears lipstick on a daily basis, didn't get a lot from the conversation.
This was my second #FurEh, and first time ever fursuiting, and it'll be a memory I'll never forget. The people happily commenting how much they loved Imogen, the requests for selfies or hugs, or random interactions with other furs. Was an amazing weekend, makes me love being a furry all over again.
